About BrainBashers™
My name is Kevin Stone and I live with my wife in a village near the centre of England. I've had a love of puzzles since a very early age and I started to write puzzles when I was quite young.
I have a first class honours degree in mathematics from a leading UK university, have an IQ over 150 and have been a member of Mensa for over 20 years.
BrainBashers™ started in 1997 and has grown from a small website to the one you see today. I receive no money for placing the puzzles, games and optical illusions on the Internet. My only rewards are the comments that I receive and the pleasure I get from creating some very exciting and interesting puzzles.
My puzzles have featured in newspapers, national magazines, local newsletters and blackboards all over the world. I have also contributed puzzles to many books. Many world-wide events have used the puzzles to entertain their attendees. True recognition came when I was commissioned to write and compile puzzles for a national UK newspaper, The Express, for six months. At the time, The Express had a circulation in excess of 1.5 million and led my local newspaper, The Sentinel, to run a full page spread on the site. Quite a few of my puzzles have appeared in The Guardian and The Times. I am happy to provide a quote for puzzle compilation for any media.
I also run two other websites:
- Mow Cop Castle : A website collecting photographs of a local folly overlooking the Cheshire plain.
- niveKenotS: My own personal photography website.
